Personal Philosophy
My worldview revolves around the following questions:
1) “Is what I’m doing in the world helping my clients improve the quality of their lives so they can live the life that they truly desire?”
2) “Am I continuing to explore and develop new ways to promote real emotional connection and intimacy?”
3) “Am I guiding my clients to settle for more than what they thought possible?”
I naturally live in these questions. They motivate me to continue to grow – personally and professionally.
One of the most important perspectives I bring to my practice is that I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative endeavor. Therapy is not something I “do to you”.
Rather, the opposite is true. Together we explore what is causing you pain in your life, and then identify what you are needing. We will also identify any barriers – internal or external – to having your needs met, and then discover new strategies to help you achieve your goals.
As incredibly rewarding as this work can be, it isn’t always easy getting to the next level, and it takes courage and persistence on your part to sometimes face things that aren’t always comfortable to hear or look at.
I believe that if you want to be transformed, it is absolutely possible…and why I encourage you to settle for more than you may think is possible in your relationship to yourself and others. You deserve a life that reflects that. I am here to help in any way I can.
Having been blessed to do this work spanning several decades, I feel incredibly grateful that I get to be doing this work in the world and never take for granted the trust that you as clients place in me to provide a safe environment for you.
I hope that this has been at least a bit helpful in getting some idea of who I am. If any of this resonates with your own life and what you are looking for in a therapist, give me a call at 310-208-3105 for a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if I am a good fit for what you are looking for.
